At first watch this is pretty funny. But watching them both at the same time is REALLY funny. At least for dorks like me that actually liked Magnum and owned a 45 of the theme song. Wait, did I actually admit that?

Roger ball, copy that. Tomorrow, May 13th is Top Gun Day. Why? Because May 16 is Iron Eagle day dummy. That is all.
Hahaha, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo shitty.
Apparantly this movie Tiptoes came out in 2003 with Matthew McConnaughey, Kate Beckinsdale. Not bad right? Typical romance fare until she has to meet his brother (Gary Oldman) and the rest of his family. Wait for it…no lie.

After just over a year of dedicated service, last Friday Xbox #2 decided it only wants to display an error screen that features the code E 74. Seems like there may be another heat related failure issue plaguing the Xbox 360. Joystiq has compiled some “less than scientific” evidence as a means of tracking the frequency of the problem. 8bitjoystiq.com has some details if you want to delve into the possible technical issues behind the error screen.
The real bummer is that this issue falls outside the realm of the RROD and isn’t covered by the extended 3 year warranty MS issued to deal with the onslaught of RROD failures. That means, I have sent #2 back to MS along with $109.24 so they can apply whatever “fix” they deem necessary. We shall see.
In wtf movie news, looks like the Farrelly brothers will be making a comedy (not a bio) of the 3 Stooges. Not too surprising. What is surprising is the supposed cast: Jim Carrey is vowing to put on 40lbs to play the lovable Curly, nothing too surprising there. Sean Penn is set to play the role of Larry. And to play the ring leader of this band of misfits, the role of Moe goes to Benicio Del Torro.
Did somebody lose a bet?

Moving into my parents house where my dad uses Verizon DSL and an Airport Extreme base that sits up high in his closet. All this works fine on his end of the house but it’s sketchy on my end. I get about one bar in the hallway and 0-1 bars in the computer room. When I do get a signal the speed is around 300kpbs. What’s the most technically nerdy way I can tell him to switch to cable, get rid of his 2002 macbook, replace it with something new and install a wireless card? My father and I also share German affinity for efficiency and thrift, so I just need to find a good technical way to tell him that making a big switch will create a more efficient computing experience and save him money in the long run. Crap…I probably just need to go create a spreadsheet to outline this crap.

For one million dollars.
I remember when Delta dropped K-Lo’s chair from about 10 feet off the ground. I could have sued, but it was quicker for me to just take a dump in the barf bag.
I can’t say I am a huge Daft Punk fan but I admit a certain fascination with this song/video and all its glam/disco glory. Oh, and they are reportedly signed up to score Tron 2, seems like a good fit to me.
My good buddy Jeff (CG animator extraordinare) has been trying to describe to me the craziness of the character design for the film Splice he has been working on recently. Some pics were finally released and include one of the scenes (see above) that he helped craft.
With Guillermo Del Toro producing, Adrien Brody starring, my buddy Jeff animating and these creepy images *shudder* make it a must see for me.
